Hope you take Ji-Ji couple in moderation since Ji Suk Jin is marrried and almost 50 years of age? lol...

I think that's why they work so well--it's a very "safe" choice, with JSJ ostensibly happily married and Ji Hyo in a relationship (and YJS, the only other married male in the cast, usually occupied with guests), the audience doesn't get any fodder for a scandal.

OK, so sarcasm is always lost on me so I tend to misconstrue meanings sometimes, for which I apologize in advance. : S
When I stated 'Ji-Ji couple' I didn't realize that people would infer that I implied some kind of 'romantic' notion. I don't believe that a man and female relationship can only end in romance. I was just fan girling over their 'platonic' love for each other. Well, I wouldn't say love because it is far from that. If you go back to episode 16 where Ji Hyo rebuffs Ji Suk Jin's attempts of closeness and the consequent coldness between them, I think this episode highlighted their 'newfound' respect and care for each other. Ji Hyo has a kind of relationship with each member, for instance a sibling type with Gwang Soo or ex monday couple with Gary or peer with Kim Jong Kook or love/hate with Haha and oppa type with Yoo Jae Suk... However, I felt that it was never defined with Ji Suk Jin AND I feared that it would always be so.
I was just 'in love' with the progression of their relationship since from the beginning, when I found them to be very awkward and almost antagonistic. It was touching.

Yes, I agree it is very safe. I mean you didn't see people scrutinizing over the minutiae of their actions (apart from me :P) It is amazing how netizens can suck the fun out of things, which includes me since I am one too.
In all honesty, I found their coupling very sincere. It seemed more like their real personas were present over a variety mask for the camera. They seemed so free and easy, easily switching from friendship to mild irritation to care and attention. I just loved that moment in the first game when they squabble over the 'fan.' Then in the PZ part they really seemed to work together as a team and finally the third race where she appreciated his efforts despite failing so many times. For me, it was such a shame to see them outed so early in the final showdown since I would have loved to have seen how they dealt with that intense atmosphere of do or die game.
I just loved how much of a 'couple' or maybe I should say 'team' they had become. I was just so happy to see it in development and for which I lay credit at Ji Suk Jin's recent proactiveness in games, breaking past the label of 'jail trio' or 'easy brother.' He is playing to his strengths, so that maybe he won't win the war yet, but he is going to take every battle he can, however he can. I mean I love how fate decreed that it was his 'Ha Ha' vote that Gwang Soo pulled out of the box last week. I always believed that Ji Suk Jin's day was yet to come and I feel that a new era is dawning for him within the RM history.
I will just end (finally) by saying that their sincerity is what warmed my heart. Its glow suffused them both and they looked so fine for it. I mean that PZ picture was lovely.
Thanks for your insightful comment. With love, Sabah
