Dear beloved members,

As most of you would have known, iSUBS is currently running low in finances and may no longer be able to support our server if nothing is being done. We usually keep a three month safety period but it seems our safety period is running a bit short. We thank you for constantly supporting us since day one and we wouldn't have gotten this far without all your help. While we have openly pleaded for more donations, we would have to take further actions to help us.

Since all of you are a part of iSUBS, we would like to seek your opinion before we carry out any plans. What we have currently come down to is the following options:
1. Add advertisements* to our page (see note below)
2. Downgrade our server and change to a cheaper host provider
3. Others

So please take the poll above and let us know what you think.

I would just like to remind all of you that iSUBS work for FREE. NONE of our subbing team is paid and all donations go entirely to maintaining our servers.

If you would like to have iSUBS continue provide subs for all of you, we really need your help and support.

A: The ads refer to Google Adsense, or putting banners in our page. There's neither a plan nor intention for links through adf.ly at this moment in time.

I would not consider downgrading the server considering the excessive load we have. Downgrading and people will start complaining. I guess advertisement is the only way to go unless theres others to be considered. Time for us to show our appreciation in a more practical way

as much as advertisement are disliked, it is the best choice, i think.

Downgrading the server and cheaper host wouldn't be a long term solution. Sure, it makes it easier in the short term, but if you're not getting enough donations, then you might not even be able to keep up a cheaper server, and switching to a cheaper server = less service, resulting in the possibility that less people will be happy / will want to donate.

The other option I guess, is you could remove it from a permanent web domain, like this site, and put it onto a free hosting site like yola or something, and simply host all downloads on other servers like mediafire and megaupload.

how about selling iSubs merchandise? but this might take a lot of effort though

and to opt for advertisement is the best choice among the three, and if this does happen i hope it wouldn't affect this forum much, like being quite a 'mess' (before downloading have to click on ad first etc)

I agree with most of the VIP members here...

I guess you could use that tactic of putting adf.ly links to your download links or streaming links, as one of the ways to raise funds (just like how other sites are using, some are even putting adf.ly links to isubs links while they profit from it..hmmmm)

I think its ok to put it cuz you guys are the original subbers and uploaders who work hard for the videos...

A 5 seconds ad is nothing ( I think) compared to a whole 1 hour show.. We waited for weeks for each episode release, so 5 seconds isn't that long, right??

I hope this suggestion might be helpful for you guys to raise funds and pay for the site's maintenance...

iSUBS must maintain its operations so we can all still continue to watch our beloved show, Running Man.

Whatever your decisions are, I will support it!! iSUBS go go go!! Fighting!!!

Create monthly subscriptions for VIP. say the 3 dollars a month to keep the VIP status so it is not permanent. I know there is that option already but it is out of your own free will. I think this can be a viable solution to satisfy the server costs and to keep it advertising free.

3 dollars a month is small comparative to our expenditures. I'm sure most of us would spend more than that on a daily basis. So that's my suggestion to the problem.

I still don't like the idea of adding advertisements nor the idea of downgrading but as aforementioned, if it has to be done, I guess that would be my wary choice.

advertise is good + adf.ly on your link would be the best offer to rise your finance and solve problem.

we're good and no complaint about adf.ly link and advertise banner as long as the advertise get a selection first before it appears in isubs site. don't accept crazy advertise and just accept the good one.
