Lee Hyori‘s agency has revealed that they will be debuting their very own girl group!

This month, B2M Entertainment will be debuting a five member girl group named ‘SPICA‘. Comprised of Yang Jiwon, Park Narae, Kim Boa, Park Joo Hyun, and Kim Bo Hyung, the girls all received the help of their senior, Lee Hyori.

As previously revealed, Yang Jiwon was a member of ‘Five Girls‘, a girl group that included Wonder Girls‘ Yubin, After School‘s UEE, G.NA and SECRET‘s Hyosung.

A representative revealed, “All five members of SPICA have gone through extensive training before forming this group. They have musical talent in not only singing and dancing, but writing and composing. They’re a team that can handle a variety of genres.”

Before their official debut, the girls will be releasing a music video for a slow tempo song titled “Potently“

Sounds interesting But I'm getting this feeling that it won't work :/ As much as I love Hyori my gut feeling says it will flop But My Best Wishes to the agency and group!

spica? sounds like an anime name... or a drama? futatsu no spica, anyone? haha.

i hope it comes out good. i mean, i had a very big expectation when i heard about hwanhee's boyband but it turns out... meh. mblaq (mentored by rain) and infinite (mentored by epik high) are all good and have fairy success debut, so i can hope the same thing coming from hyori.

trivia: yang jiwon is also once a member of t-ara (before t-ara official debut with "lies") and i've also seen her in wgm woojong couple. i think she has decent vocals and pretty as well. seriously, all those ex five girls members are gold: one heck awesome rapper (yoobin), one decent singer (g.na), one decent dancer (hyosung), and one decent actress (uee). i can't imagine how this girl group would do if they debuted for real. xD

I'm not very excited for this group sadly, they all look very plain imo. Anyone have any practise videos or anything similar that shows off what they can do?

I hate to say it, but I was wrong. Had a listen to their mini album and wow! Every track is awesome and even checked out theirs live performances and they certainly are great! For anyone who hasn't checked them out, do it now! My favourite rookie group by far and perhaps current second favourite amongst all girl groups
