From the get go, we get a nice introduction of the guests in a setting that sets up well for the theme. I thought the whole airport setting, with the set-up of the hallyu stars worked perfect considering the guests, and the team set-up for the most part was balanced. Sulli ends up with the kids, Sohee with the big two (which is understandable considering her variety persona is about as receptive and comfortable as a discolored brick in the wall), Hyorin ends up with the Easy brothers (and her complaints about the begrudged grouping were hilarious) and for once Ji Hyo ends up with some of her own eye candy in her two princes. So from the start with the pairings, it felt quite balanced with a slight edge probably to Ji Hyo's team considering how enormously competitive Minho is, and how capable Siwon is as well.
So then we find out it's a math based theme. With a bunch of idols who are known more for their physical talents over their brains? This should be interesting....
Right from the first game, we get to see what happens with the clutter of teams causes people to rush in without thinking as the majority of the groups go off the wrong way without thinking. Should have seen the foreshadowing early on when Haha and Sulli's patience lead them to be the only group who didn't rush and got the first numbers. I was somewhat confused from the beginning why the groups weren't working with small numbers more and preferred the large ones, considering the goal would be to reach one (and trust me, math is not my strong point by any means often resulting in massive headaches and choice swearwords when we cross paths), but all of the selections seemed random for the most part, which might have been for entertainment over rationale's sake.
I had to let out a bit of a chuckle when I saw the airplanes and the way they worked the hallyu element into the next game. Lot's of comments about weight of the various ladies and dumb looks as they realized what the actual game entailed, made for some good moments. I was just a bit sad that of all the games to get the heavy handed treatment from the editing department in seeing the results.
The post-it/insult game was pretty ingenious in it's setting, set-up, and overall execution. It seemed for some groups to be a bit of an ice breaker (like the Sohee group, in which this became the first point in which we saw her actually step out from introversion), sadly the Ace-Prince and Hyo-Easy groups got a lot less screen time than the other side. Lot's of laughs though, from the insults themselves (Sohee's one-liners worked quite well delivered) to Jong Kook's dancing skills and Suk Jin's plunge made this probably the highlight and most memorable game of the episode to me. All the pre-existing post-its at the restaurants really were a nice touch, not only being obvious foreshadowing for the game to come, but really tied everything together well.
Then came the big game, back at SBS with the finding of the mathematical signs all around the place. I gotta say, that the inclusion of brackets and square roots was a borderline sadistic move by the production crew, and what felt like the endless plethora of division signs has to be mildly bittersweet finds for all the players. The game itself with it's "addition" of the players having the option to steal to lead to more confrontation an added element of strategy was somewhat interesting, but ironically seemed to work out with the majority of the thefts happening only to Jae Suk and Jong Kook. I would have expected that the weaker teams (Sulli and Hyorin teams) to be the targets of theft, but instead it turned into everybody against one side.
I liked the fact that they worked an another SBS show, in the form of 1,000 Song Challenge and made a bit of a cross-platform inclusion by making the show's filming coincide with one another. In turn you get some interesting karaoke inclusion, and about a dozen cameos from various other stars. I wouldn't mind seeing some more shows that work themselves into the Running Man filming and tie into games in the future.
The ending was pretty hilarious and a bit unexpected. To see Haha, Gary, and Sulli, who admittedly were the most intellectually handicapped group of the bunch when it came to math, pull off a win by using only addition and subtraction signs had me doubled over. It goes to show that Haha may act like a kid from time to time, but the head on his shoulders is one that although might not have the strategic planning, or cunning of some of the other players - is still able to get the job done by looking for the simplest route first.
Overall none of the guests in the episode really disappointed, but there were just so many of them that it became difficult for most of them to get adequate screen time. I expected Sohee to be a lot worse than she was, considering her past reputation on variety shows - but she did okay by normal guest standards (exceptional by Sohee standards) in managing to make her few words really count, and her reactions to be somewhat endearing in their own unique way. Minho probably got the next most screen time, because of his extremely competitive streak, overall he did good and you got the usual Minho frustrated outburst at the end that Let's Go Dream Team Season 2 fans have seen numerous times before, the sad part is that Minho and Siwon's characteristics overlap a lot, and the trade off of all the Minho screen time is that Siwon suffered in getting his share. Sulli really seemed almost to digress from her previous appearance on the show and really gives more credence to Jae Suk's ability to bring out the most out of guests, because out of Sulli's entire team it was Haha who probably shown the brightest today. Poor Hyorin ended up with the Easy Brothers, and in turn probably got the least screen time - maybe she should have complained more since her outbursts about her grouping was a lot of the screen time she received.
Overall, there wasn't anything I could really say was bad about the episode, except for the fact that if it were 15-20 minutes longer it might have been a bit more balanced and enjoyable. You almost have to accept that when the guest count goes over two, some people just aren't going to get as much screen time and it is going to hurt the overall balance of a show. We got a lot of the strong qualities that you do enjoy from a race episode, like car conversations and a somewhat shocking finish, but it just felt like there was 1% missing from the total package. In the end, like the Wonder Girl's latest album - I was shocked by Sohee's improvement, but at this point I think Jae Suk could make an expired piece of pork an exciting guest.
Good episode, but a little too much going on for the allotted time. Probably didn't help that it followed two episodes that were instant classics either. Next time we got some assassin theme going, which has potential.

Hyorin's strong personality was hilarous too from the very start. She gave the Easy Brothers quite the hard time but very funny!

Sohee managed to open up and go with the flow, all while being totally adorable in her awkwardness. Then again, being paired up with YJS is really the key. Sulli was nowhere to be seen, at least compared to her last appearance (again, YJS), and poor Hyorin... although one of the highlights of the episode was at the start, where the first words out of Hyorin's mouth were hostility towards the Easy Bros. The SM boys did alright.
Overall, not a future classic, but definately an episode I'll rewatch occasionally.

All in all, a memorable episode, but not one of the all-time greats.

Good Stuff: Running Man Episode 75 invites lots of Idol Stars and goes for another "race" episode. Basically, inviting idol stars is a good idea (+2 points) and there was some nice interaction between them and the RM members. Lots of Love Relation stuff with JiHyo and boy idols and the other members and their girl idols. Also, some good funny moments here and there. Entertaining. (+1 point) I admit the Mathematic Special is a unique idea. If there is anything that is really worth giving points then its unique concepts that show us something that we havent seen before. Especially like that they have to find numbers and mathematical signs, giving each team its own individual mathematical problem (+3 points). The special involvement of another SBS Show and their MCs is a fantatic idea and i agree with rubicant that they should do this more often to have lots of other celebreties for free. lol. (+1 point)
Bad Stuff: Once again, I dislike the race because of its cheesy games. Seriously, if they would do normal mini-games i would like this more ( I liked the Hong Kong mini-games but most race games i dont like) but this was another mixture of super-strange "wtf" games that leave me more confused then anything. Shake off your insults ? Carry someone through a park and answer a park question ? wtf. LOL. (-2 point) No Elimination Game (-1 point).
the Snow Rating for Episode 75.
Thank you for Reading.

- Minho and Siwon are absolutely WONDERFUL! Their competitiveness, ambition, and overall personalities really fit in RM. They weren't shy or awkward and jumped right into the games without being pushy or ignorant of the camera. Like Yonghwa, I hope they both become frequent guests! (And good for Jihyo, she deserves a princess day!)
- Sulli's always pleasant to watch, no rcomplains about her. Didn't have too much airtime, but when she did - like at the restaurant - she was fun to watch.
- I really wished they gave Hyorin more screen time, and less Sohee.
- Hyorin's bluntness straight from the getgo (and her laugh!) was hilarious and had soo much more potential! Perhaps this was the curse of being part of the Easy Brothers team haha. I liked her easygoingness and humor, like when Sukjin joked about her going on a diet and she just laughed it off -- and then continued kicking during her privatejet ride, making it harder for them to carry her lol.
- Sohee - though she's adorable too - was just so... awkward. And quiet. Quiet female guests just annoy the crap out of me, lol, especially since this is RM. I'm not anti-WG or anything and I'm not blaming her for, umm, being who she is (heh), but it was a bad choice for the RM staff to have chosen her. Felt bad for Jongkook and Jaesuk - they had to try so hard to get her involved. But now I understand why they put the two strongest members in her team - any other combination + Sohee would've equalled disaster!
The teams were well matched too. It was pretty much:
Jihyo + Siwon + Minho = Aces; competitive and competent team
Sulli + Haha + Gary = The kids
Hyorin + Sukjin + Gwangsoo = Adorable clumsies? Or the old souls? Haha. I liked seeing Hyorin and Sukjin dancing backstage during that other's shows recording.
Sohee + Jaesuk + Jongkook = 2 strongest to balance out the relatively "weak" and quiet guest
Overall, this was a really fun episode!
Oh and how can I forget, even if it was only for a few minutes, epic downfall of Jongkook! Only when Minho and Siwon are around can this happen LOL.
