I for one don't miss Lizzy, and feel that while she was a fun guest, she contributed little as a member. A Joong Ki return would be far more beneficial for the show. But more than anything, I like things the way they are, with 7 regulars being an IMO ideal number with the "three teams of three with two guests" setup being common nowadays.
i agree with you i mean she's a good singer dont get me wrong but when it comes to running man she's kind of boring...just standing there and when it comes to mission she's not that good and the chemistry of the running man members is superb and if you're going to add her after she left 2 years ago i dont know if she can play a role that will match all the character of rm.

Joong Ki's expressed a willingness to return, but I wonder how much of that is just the usual Korean entertainment industry politics and politeness. His career's still on the upswing, and it's obviously not impossible to juggle an acting career with a variety show, it's still a big crimp on one's schedule. I don't think it's a coincidence that RM's filming schedule changed after he left (from one long Monday every week to one-night-two-days every two weeks); I suspect that the producers decided for some reason to switch to that schedule and Joong Ki just couldn't make it work for him--not that the parting wasn't amicable, just that it was a decision he had to make. I like that they've brought him back (going on) three times so far, and wouldn't mind him becoming a recurring tagalong guest like Yonghwa or IU, but as I mentioned earlier, I think seven members is an ideal number. I believe the PDs believe the same thing, and aren't going to mess with it given their announced commitment to strengthening the show's "core." As of now, there have been more episodes without Joong Ki than there have been with him, and Lizzy was in the show for a measly ten episodes (if you count all the episodes she was actually in, regardless of whether her entire appearance consisted of her giggling randomly and getting eliminated). We should accept the fact that while they still deserve our affection for being part of the Running Man family, Joong Ki and Lizzy just aren't part of that "core" anymore.

It depends. I remember like one or two episodes after he left they had the couple race where Gwang Soo had to do everything solo. (Since they had no guests) Ever since then I have felt that gap he left has been pretty large. On the other hand , there are a number of people I would rather see in that spot over either Joong Ki or Lizzy. Park Bo Young is the foremost one in my mind.

I felt the void then, too, but I think that can be chalked up to them not having fully worked out the three-of-three race format yet (though, with the addition of the guests later that episode, they did go in that formation for the food game), something that they fully settled into six episodes later (after the partly disappointing "corporate" episodes). There's also the "ghost town" effect of episodes like the True Gary show and the Lee Da Hae spy episode, though that's also attributable to there being no guests (or one guest) and it being a free-for-all rather than a more lively team vs. team competition.

Like I've said in the "New Member" threads--it's not that they can't have an eighth regular, just that doing so would probably entail the show tweaking its format. The show seems to prefer having two or more guests, at least for episodes that don't have an individual play component--even huge names like Ha Ji Won and Park Ji Sung had Gaeko and IU (come on, it's not a real spoiler) respectively as "beta guests." Any more guests and the alpha gets less attention; have no beta guests and the alpha has to carry the burden of sole guest. Even in Joong Ki and Lizzy's times, they preferred to have no more than two guests, with a third guest usually brought in only if one member (most often Joong Ki) was absent.

True "race" episodes don't have more than four members per team for practical reasons (each team comfortably fits in one car with ample room for cameras and ensuring decent shots for each passenger), and, again, are usually three-of-three, with two guests among the seven regulars. Considering that the "non-guest" team usually gets the short end of the stick, how much more problematic would it be if there were two non-guest teams effectively giving us the same "playing-amongst-ourselves" schtick episode after episode? The normal three-of-three hasn't worn thin on me yet--an alpha guest with one team to be the marquee act, the beta guest with another team to provide some backup variety freshness, and the all-member team for reliable, familiar antics. The only thing I've gotten tired of is that the teams are too often Jae Suk & Gary in the alpha team, Jong Kook and HaHa in the beta team, and Ji Hyo + Easy Brothers as the rejects.

I, too, had the same impression back then when Lizzy joined RM. She had very little air time, and her role wasn't strong enough to blend in among the RM members.

But that was years ago. At that time she was just a rookie, and it hasn't been long since she joined After School.

I have monitored Lizzy whenever she appeared on shows. I must say that her sense of variety skills has improved a lot. She still have the same bubbly and cheerful image, but she is also become more wise with her talking skills. I found that her personality is really interesting. Her variety skills seems to be much better than Kahi or UEE (among After School members of course).

I wouldn't really trust that rumor yet. But if it is really true, it will be interesting.

As a guy, I am glad she is coming back.
She's very cute and have good personality.

I am guessing most girls want joong ki back.

Sometimes, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and ask.. "Why Don't People Like me?"

You might get the answer.
