Should Lee Hyori be in Running Man?

Anyway, IMO, the problem with adding Hyori as an eighth member would be the same as with adding Lee Chunhee, Yoon Jongshin, or even Kim Soo Ro to the cast, and it's the very point that you mention: they're similar to members already in place for RM. Even when Chunhee and Jongshin guested, it's been mentioned on air how there's a resulting "overlap" between the characters. If Hyori were to be added as a permanent member, she or Ji Hyo's character would have to be "adjusted" so that there's less overlap, a proposition that fans of either would probably not be agreeable to.
That's not to say that this sort of adjustment is impossible or doomed to fail: Jong Kook, for one, in going from FO to RM, went from his original role as the "quiet, physically capable guy involved in the show's permanent loveline" to taking over SooRo's niche as the competitive nemesis, leaving Gary to take his previous role in the newer show; but one can see that this wasn't how it originally was on the outset--the Jong Kook of the first few RM episodes was more his FO self, and it wasn't until he started leading his own team that he truly became "the commander." Ji Hyo herself took some time to evolve into the "ace" that she is. But now that she *is* the ace, it'd be hard for her to cede or to constantly be in competition for that role on the show.
Hyori would make a great rival to Ji Hyo, BUT only if it were on a guest or recurring guest basis. Hyori would make a great replacement for Ji Hyo, should Ji Hyo either temporarily or permanently leave RM. But as a permanent addition, she'd be one "Hyo" too many.

I think Hyori would be a really good choice, considering she is so close with most of the Running Man members, she has the variety chops and also she would definitely add some flavor to Running Man. This would also be beneficial to JIhyo instead of hurting her, as previously when a female guest appears, Jihyo would get cut a lot as she is the only female. But now with Hyori, it might be different and both of them can sort of "work together" to counter the female guest.
And also I can already see the duo nickname for Jihyo and Hyori to be something like the "Ace Sisters' or "Hyo Sisters". Haha.

1. RM is oriented in doing games where result is "important". Hyori who often explicitly violates the rule, may cause RM to receive more backlashes. Especially with its current popularity among children.
2. Hyori "Queen image" doesn't fit RM. Maybe it is just my impression from watching FO and IC, but Hyori usually has image like a Queen, ordering or slaving others, whining, many excuses, leave the works to other if possible, lead people, and people "worship" her. I really cannot imagine this image in RM where people strive to finish the mission She would need a very different image imo if she ever become permanent member (which is also unimaginable)
3. Like mikejonas said, her image clashes with KJK. KJK already became the commander and acknowledge as the strongest and one of the best in RM. Him losing to Hyori will be very unimagineable (personally i find KJK lost to CMS in ep 118 is more acceptable)
If RM somehow needs to add new member (which i dont think they should do that for now), it should be someone who can compete in game (we already have too many "losers" i think), and doesn't mind if they lost

1. I don't think so.... She can provide more laughter when she is with Jae Suk
2. In FO she doesn't expect people to treat her like a queen. Maybe she behaves like that as a joke. All I can think about her is humble and down to earth. She doesn't act like a star in FO....
3. KJK has lost to Song Ji Hyo more than one occasion and its just a variety show so he shouldn't take it seriously....
If you watched the RM episode 1 she dominate most of the cast during the photozone part but in the end her team lose... I would take Lee Hyori than Song Ji Hyo any day. Ji Hyo don't talk much these days in RM.

1 -> Can you give me some examples of how she would violate rules in Running Man? I don't quite understand what you mean...
2 -> Lol tbh, she did a fair amount of work in FO. She was responsible for cooking a lot of the time, a lot of FO members didn't even know how to cook and she had to do it. Everybody depended on her for that. She only ordered people to bring her supplies/ingredients and sometimes she does that part of the job herself.
And all the characteristics/traits you listed can be seen in some Running Man members..
Did you watch Episode 1 of RM btw? She did most of the stuff for her team in that episode...
3 -> I don't think mikejonas said Hyori's character clashes with KJK, I think he said that her character clashes with SJH's instead.
If Ji Hyo had to be replaced, I would rather it be Ye Jin (from FO). She's stronger than Hyori and Ji Hyo... and she's fearless.
